A global system for collecting and recycling equipment for

Collecting and recycling equipment for professional kitchens is everyone’s business – and it is a requirement.

Manufacturers, installers, and users ensure the proper operation of the sector that covers the collection and recycling of equipment at the end of its life. European and national regulations make producers (manufacturers, importers, single-brand re-sellers, and distance sellers) liable for organising and paying for collecting (from a threshold to be determined) and recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment as well as fixtures, fittings, and furnishings that they sell across national territory.

 Out of a desire to reduce their environmental impact, professionals working in the field of professional kitchens and the catering trades have set up the VALO RESTO PRO® system and environmental charter mark. Initiated by SYNEG, VALO RESTO PRO® underscores producers’ commitment to respecting the environment and the Law in managing the end of life of their equipment that has been brought to market (collection, decontamination, and recycling). The VALO RESTO PRO® system was set up in partnership with ECOLOGIC, an eco-body authorised by the state to handle the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) as well as waste from fixtures, fittings, and furnishings from professional kitchens on French territory.

VALO RESTO PRO® is the pooled solution for professional kitchens producers and the catering trades, since ECOLOGIC handles their regulatory liabilities in order to meet requirements set by the European Union in relation to collecting and recycling WEEE and waste from fixtures, fittings, and furnishings.
