The SYNEG Laundry Commission asked the Observatoire PROMOCUISINES/SYNEG® to produce statistics on the sales of professional laundry equipment. For the first time, the Observatory is collecting quarterly sales declarations from leading companies in laundry equipment, representing 70% of their market.

Pierre MARCEL was elected Chairman of SYNEG during the Board of Directors meeting on 23 January 2020. Pierre MARCEL, Chairman of TOURNUS EQUIPEMENT, has been a member of SYNEG's board since 2008. He has been Vice-Chairman since 2013 and has successively chaired the International and Environment Commissions. Mr. MARCEL praised the action of his predecessors and presented the main orientations of his mandate.

The SYNEG General Assembly met on 13 June 2019 at the Château de Nanterre under the chairmanship of Mr Jean-Michel SOTO, in the presence of members and guests from the foodservice catering sector. Two appointments were made on this occasion.

He succeeds Pascal MARCHAND who has been in office since 2016, and who extended his mandate by a few months following the 2018 GA to finalize the union's new roadmap.
Charvet president Pierre-Alain Augagneur has suddenly and tragically passed away at the age of just 50. He sadly suffered a heart attack while in Dubai on 27 October. Pierre-Alain was just 50 and leaves a wife and four children.
It is with sadness that SYNEG was informed about the passing of its former President, Thierry BRENER, on 8 September 2018 at the age of 71.

According to the PROMOCUISINES / SYNEG® Observatory, overall sales (France + Export) of large-kitchen equipment rose by 6% in 2016 with respect to 2015. That is the second consecutive year of growth for the market (up by 2%* in 2015).
Pascal MARCHAND was elected Wednesday 1 June, Chairman of the National Union of catering equipment manufacturers (SYNEG) during the General Assembly which brought together its member companies in Paris la Défense. He succeeds Pierre-Alain AUGAGNEUR who chaired the SYNEG since 2013.
Pascal MARCHAND, 60, engineer, holds an MBA and a University Degree in Industrial Marketing, is the President of EuroCave Group, a French manufacturer of wine cabinets and member of SYNEG through its EuroCave Professional division.
